IBASE Introduces an Intel® Xeon™ processor-based E7500/E7501 Full Size CPU Card

TAIPEI, TAIWAN, February 24, 2003 - IBASE Technology Inc., a pioneer in the design and manufacture of Intel® Pentium® 4 processor-based single board computers, today announced the IB900, an Intel® Xeon™ processor-based CPU Card based on the Intel® E7500/E7501 chipset.

IBASE Technology has a reputation for debuting new technologies and integrating them into single board computer solutions as exemplified by their release of the world's first two Intel® Pentium® 4 processor-based SBC models supporting SDRAM and DDR memory. With the addition of the new Intel® Xeon™ processor-based SBC, IBASE and their customers will stay ahead of the competition to deliver high performance solutions for demanding and memory-hungry applications.

Integrated with the E7500/E7501 chipset, IB900 runs with systems bus of 400/533MHz and supports DDR-200/266 SDRAM memory. It supports Intel® Xeon™ processor with Intel® NetBurst microarchitecture LAN manageability and Hyper-Threading technology, enabling faster performance with simultaneous instruction processing.

The IB900's internal PCI-X bus connects to the Intel® 82546EB Ethernet controller to provide dual Gigabit LAN support on the two RJ-45 connectors on board. Four USB 1.0 ports are supported through pin headers and the AC97 interface delivers 20-bit audio for enhanced sound quality and full surround sound capability. Dual Ultra ATA 100 interfaces support faster IDE transfers to storage devices and improves system performance.
