The ET863, the second ETX CPU module from IBase, a Taiwan Embedded System
manufacturer, is based on the VIA ProSavage PN133T (codename 'Twister T')
chipset that features built-in high performance 2D/3D graphics, flexible
66/100/133MHz system bus settings and support for PC100/133 SDRAM.
Available
in versions of 400MHz, 533MHz
and 667MHz, ET863 supports VIA
Eden and C3 processors. Measuring
95mm by 114mm, ET863 is now supported
by base board platforms of 5.25-inch
disk size, 3.5-inch disk size
and 3U CompactPCI board form
factors that are available from
IBase. ET863 offers the following
main features:
- VIA Eden / C3 Processors,
100/133MHz Front Side Bus
- On Board Savage AGP4X Graphics,
with LVDS interface
- Realtek RTL8100BL Ethernet,
SODIMM socket supporting up
to 256MB SDRAM
- Built-in audio with AC97
codec, TV-out, 4 USB ports,
watchdog timer, ACPI

The ETX form factor
simplifies the building of low cost
and high performance embedded solutions
by separating CPU and the interface
functions to the ETX module and a base
board. This allows for upgrade of the
CPU module whenever higher performance
is required to the embedded system
and still using the same interface
base board.
