"H version" Intel® Pentium® 4 processor Products Available Now

TAIPEI, TAIWAN, June 30, 2003 - IBASE Technology Inc., a pioneer in the design and manufacture of Intel® Pentium® 4 processor-based single board computers, swiftly incorporated Intel®'s Hyper-Threading Technology into its Intel® Pentium® 4 processor-based product line, making it available as "H version."

Hyper-Threading technology enables a single HT-enabled Intel® Pentium® 4 processor or Intel® Xeon™ processor CPUs to process two threads simultaneously via internal partitioning, sharing, and replication of resources. A second thread of execution can take advantage of processor resources not used by the first thread. HT technology makes some applications run as though there are two processors in a system while there is only one. According to Intel®, this can improve PC performance when using many mainstream applications up to 25 percent.

New "H" product lineup of IBASE has effectively incorporated the most-advanced features of HT Technology by mounting Intel®'s chipsets, such as 845GE, 845PE and 845GV. The new 845GE includes a 266MHz graphics clock for its Intel® Extreme Graphics engine, an onboard video card. Also, the 845GE supports DDR333 (double data rate) memory and sports a 533MHz or 400MHz system bus. Users with high-performance graphics needs can pick the new 845PE chipset, which supports AGP4x (accelerated graphics port) for connecting a graphics controller, as well as the fast DDR333 memory type. The Intel® 845GV chipset supports DDR333 memory, and a 533MHz/400MHz front side bus with support for Intel® Pentium® 4 processor and Intel® Celeron® processor. This chipset is backed up by Intel®'s Embedded Intel® Architecture Division (EID)'s long product life support.
